Supporting & Empowering Women!

Glasgow BPW is dedicated to supporting and empowering women in our community through a variety of initiatives and events.
Each month, our meetings cover a different topic, with members signing up to serve on committees and help plan our upcoming events and activities. We love coming together outside of our monthly meetings for a variety of fun, enriching experiences that build strong bonds and foster growth. Joining Glasgow BPW means being part of a dynamic, supportive community where we work, learn, and grow together.

What We Do

  • We award scholarships to deserving individuals that are pursuing non-traditional education opportunities
  • We proudly host the "Market on the Square" event, a beloved tradition for over 40 years, where we support local vendors and raise funds for scholarships.
  • We host monthly meetings that educate our members, encourage relationships, and work collectively to achieve goals.
  • We celebrate and recognize exceptional women through a variety of awards, including the Business Promoting Women Award, Woman of the Year, and Woman of Achievement.
  • We also host annual Speak-Off Contests, Professional Development and Aspiring Professional, awarding a winner each year.
  • As the keynote sponsor for the TJ Regional Health Women’ s Conference, presented in partnership with Glasgow BPW, we continue to empower women through one of the largest women ’ s events in the state of Kentucky.

Local Service Projects

We've participated in a wide variety of local service projects, including gathering donations for the Girls & Boys Club, working concessions for high school football games, donating to the Bobby Driver Memorial Scholarship fund, taking meals to residents at Bridge Kentucky, and bell ringing for the Salvation Army.

Scholarships

We award students on non-traditional education scholarships to help them pursue their dreams and careers.

The KFBPW (Kentucky Federation of Business and Professional Women) also supports women around the state with scholarships.

In 2025, Sarah Garrett, Glasgow BPW Club administrative assistant, was awarded a $1,500.00 KFBPW scholarship!

Community

We are proud sponsors of the TJ Women's Health Conference each year. We enjoy promoting this event to give women time to learn about and support their health and wellbeing.
Market on the Square
This is our annual vendor fair for local artisans, crafters, and specialty product vendors. We greatly enjoy this event that allows us to promote and encourage local small business and entrepreneurs as well as give opportunity for community engagement. It is hosted on the Public Square in Glasgow in September.
